Dr. Julianna Hynes is a certified and credentialed global executive development and advancement coach, trusted advisor, and author. She is known for her expertise in women's leadership and advancement. Dr. Hynes helps her clients shift from autopilot to a more deliberate mindset, building confidence, developing relevant leadership skills, becoming more professionally savvy and strategic, and positioning themselves for significantly greater opportunities. 

In her first job out of college, Dr. Hynes worked in a white-male-dominated organization. Being a driven, young, Black woman and recently divorced single mother in an assistant role alone was challenging. Working with leaders who led by command and control and fear and intimidation proved a daily struggle for her. Dr. Hynes found that having a degree and working hard wasn't enough to be seen and promoted. There were obscure barriers and uncommonly known strategies to getting ahead.

These early career experiences fueled Dr. Hynes's passion for helping leaders mature underdeveloped leadership skills, such as motivating and inspiring their team members and effective communication, as well as developing the competencies of strategic thinking and relationship-building to advance their careers. These experiences also empowered her to support Black women in navigating the nuances of being Black and female in corporate America.

In her latest book, Leading on Purpose: The Black Woman's Guide to Shattering the Glass Ceiling, Dr. Hynes builds on the lessons learned in her doctoral research of accomplished Black executive women’s success strategies and shares the principles, insights, and tactics needed to thrive professionally, for any leader. 

Dr. Hynes has enjoyed working with diverse leaders at various levels in their careers, from high-performing individual contributors to seasoned executives, in multiple industries in which she helps her clients focus on being more intentional in achieving their goals, having a growth mindset, and exploring the limiting beliefs that have held them back. She considers herself a champion, challenger, and confidant, helping her clients build the bridge between where they are and where they want to go. 

Dr. Hynes' clients have reported significant results after working with her, including promotions to higher roles, the development of essential leadership competencies such as communication, influence, delegation, and better collaborative and professional relationships.
